Simply Sparkly Quilt Finish

Simply Sparkly Quilt Finish

There is joy in finishing a project started long ago. One perhaps you didn't know the intended recipient, and felt no great pressure to complete. This artsy, ombre quilt came together in March of 2023, and then it languished. It needed a special someone, and I kept thinking a teenage girl or perhaps a bit younger would love it. I knew none, and so it settled into the unfinished pile.

Then came the moment. I had offered to make a quilt for just such a girl, and my time was being squeezed by more and more work. I literally stumbled upon this beauty while tidying the studio, and immediately set to finding backing.

A day of quilting--"Naruto Clouds" is the longarm stitch pattern by My Creative Stitches, and the gorgeous hand painted binding from Lund Fabrics makes it a quilt just perfect for a tweener girl.

The Tula Pink backing was in my stash, and suits the quilt to a T, I think. You can see a previous post on how it was put together in Simply Sparkly Quilt Top. It might have been a little challenge getting everything just right, but what a surprise it was when I saw the whole top together! It definitely changed my mind about ombre fabrics.

Time to deliver.
Come on, Doxie girls.
Let's go sew.
