Vintage Blocks Flimsy

Vintage Blocks Flimsy

Though I don't spend long, uninterrupted time in my studio these days, I do peck away at a lot of my quilting goals. Here is a flimsy finish I started the week before, and by adding the whole spectrum of tiny squares I completed the border. I'm waiting for inspiration before I add the embroidery.

Back when Craftsy was a thing, I bagged several deals on quilt kits. Whenever I was stuck for a project, I grabbed a kit and just sewed. That was and still is therapy for me. This twin Trip Around the World is one, and is now headed for the big stack of quilts that need binding.

Summer is waning fast. You can smell fall. I spent the morning moving shrubs, and transplanting mums. That should have been done weeks ago, but my time is far more limited these days. My porch goose arrived this week finally, and all I had was a bikini to put her in. I remember the days when I rolled my eyes because my mom had one, and now it's come around to me. In digging through Mom's old patterns the other day, I came across one for geese outfits. My grand baby doesn't quite know what to think of it yet, but eyes it up every time she arrives. I need to get those patterns out, and whip up some fall themed outfits. I wish I didn't need to sleep.

Come on, Doxie girls.
Let's go sew.

  1. Good to see your post! I have to get myself up to post some of my current work. Sounds like you are busy, but not as much quilting.
