Color Theory from Moda
I have to admit that this collection got a
cursory glance while shopping online
this week. I liked the palette,
but sometimes cyber shopping doesn't
quite measure up to your LQS experience.
Such was the case when I saw it in person.
The colors were gorgeous, and it felt luscious!
But was it worth the splurge?
I put a little 'Still Shopping' tag on it, and
kept looking.(Okay, there was some pink in it,
but it was soo much better in person.)
I finally came back to claim it for my own.
These Urban Zoologie Elephants jumped out at me
from the fat quarter pile, but were joined by a great laminated fabric from the bargain room.
I see some little zipper bags here!

A little Amy Butler, some geometrics from Art Gallery,
and some wonderful dots.
Add two subtle prints in a neutral off white.
I hate buying white fabric.
I mean, I almost think I'm wasting my money
when I could be buying a pretty print!

I sense a trend in my newer choices.
I'm moving toward a more subtle palette,
less floral, simpler prints.

It was hard to pass on a few yards of Milk Cow
at such a great price.
And this great print from Toy Poodle
collection from Kinkame!
And now it's time for the Giveaway for
the 2015 Grow Your Blog!

Mary Huey of Quilting through Rose-colored
Congratulations!
Mary wins this zippered selvage bag made
by yours truly, and will be receiving it
by mail this week.
Thank you all for participating. I have loved reading
about your favorite and not-so-favorite colors.
It was especially fun to hear why you love
or despise certain colors, especially when we,
as quilters, make color choices everyday.
My Motto: Live Colorfully!
I'm linking up today with
and
Enjoy the day.
Love your time.
Express yourself colorfully!
Come on, Doxie Girls.
Let's go sew.

Congratulations Mary!
I have those elephants in "bright" to make a fitted crib sheet! I thought they were pretty irresistible too :)
Brilliant stash additions, love those Art Gallery geometrics
