Be Mine Valentine! Pet Project Show #6

Happy Valentine's Day!

Remember all the Valentine parties
when we were kids?
Lots of sweets and paper,
and decorated boxes.

My grandmother was a saver,
and saved these wonderful
Valentine's of my father.
Most are from the late 1930's
into the early 1940's,
but I suspect a few are mixed in
from around 1910 which
were Grandma's own.

Grandma Anna is in the middle of the two
ladies in the middle row.
She was a quilter and a saver.
I'm so thankful for both.

Today is the last chance to register for
the Giveaway on Pink Doxies.
Just leave a comment at the end of my
Grow Your Blog post for the chance
to win the zippered selvage bag!

links will be up throughout the
next year, and there are tons
of beautiful blogs to explore there.

The Valentine's Day
pattern is still available to
download for free.
My gift to you!

It's Saturday, and time for the weekly
Pink Doxies
Pet Project Show.
Add your link here every Saturday.

Rules

Do we have to have rules?

No worries! It's EASY.

1. Use the blue 'Add Your Link' button (below left) to upload a picture of something you've created in the past week. Any kind of handiwork--share it now! It can be a work in progress, finally finished, or even your fab new fabric. Whatever it is that inspired you to create this week, we'd like to see it here.

2. Please link to a specific post, and not just your blog address. It makes it easier for someone following your link to find your project.

3. Provide a backlink to Pink Doxies with a link in your post, or pick up our Pet Project Show button below. Copy and paste into the 'Add Image by HTML' box to create the Pet Show widget on your page.

-OR-
1. You can link up to your Instagram. Click on the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link up screen. The URL of your Instagram feed will be your link. Please hashtag #pinkdoxiespetproject

Either way you link up, remember it's a party here, so schmooze with the crowd! Visit others who've linked up. Leave a comment so they know what you like about their work. The people to either side of your link would work or their neighbors, too.

Don't miss a post!
Follow me on Bloglovin' or by email.

The Linky Party starts now, and runs until Monday, February 16 at midnight.
Spread the word, and tell all your stitchy friends.

Oh my goodness.....so, so many adorable Valentine Cards evoking a sense of bygone days!! I love the whimsicality and sense of humour of the early 20th Century. I have had the best time scrolling down this lovely post. How lucky are you that your Grandma Anna saved all these treasures!

My grandmother was a saver too - I've still got boxes of her "savings" in my attic to go through! Love your valentines.....
