Get Ready to Show Your Love!

I feel very lucky to have my guy around, but this saying reminds me that not all of us have our love near enough to touch. I've decided this year I should give a little more effort, and let him know. Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I know some of you have been planning the perfect day for weeks already. Most years it catches me unaware, honestly, because we don't tend to go for big celebrations. Maybe a favorite dinner at home with a glass of wine, and a movie on Netflix.

Yes, we try to make ordinary days special, but at the same time, shouldn't we let those close to us know we appreciate them when a holiday for them rolls around? Through the end of February, I'm going to be on the look out for ways to share our love and appreciation for others. You'll see the best ideas here, and surely there will be some good sewing ideas.

Along with my dear husband and family, there are some other people I appreciate, and want to show my love for. Several close friends I've made out here in QBL (Quilter Blog Land) are truly dear to me. One friend, Sandra at mmm! quilts and I have banded together with some talented quilter blogger friends and Craftsy to bring you a heart felt blog hop starting Wednesday, Feb. 8. Be here or at Sandra's tomorrow for the launch, juicy details, and the schedule, and don't miss it! We'll have some very sweet giveaways from both Craftsy and our blogging team!

'Can't wait to see you back here tomorrow!

Come on, Doxie girls.
Let's go sew.

That love poem is so heart-rending, Julie. I will spend some time with Paul even though he works on Valentine's Day. Since all the restaurants will be busy, packed and rushed, staying home with a bottle of wine and a favorite movie is way more SPECIAL than going out. So excited about the Hop!!!
