How FUN is this traditional block done up in
Cotton+Steel prints?
I'm meeting myself coming and going this week! Every spare minute is spent writing or quilting, and sometimes both at the same time. It's all good, and very exciting, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to make my deadlines. My day to post for Christmas In My Heart is Wednesday, and is also the lauch for Uppsala Stars.
I've found that playing with one block until you've explored many possibilities leads you to even more discoveries. Play is good!
Make it in lots and lots of different fabrics, and modify it many times. I spyed this green, floral Jennifer Paganelli print at JoAnn's, and knew the spotted brown fabric at home in my stash would be perfect to set it off.
I started using this block last summer in this Patirotic Quilt Flimsy, and have made many renditions.
I have to sew today, but you take your time hopping around to all the blogs below. There have been some additional giveaways sponsored by each blog, free patterns, and lots of holiday eye candy! You can sign up at each blog for a chance to win today's $25 gift certificate from The Fat Quarter Shop, and get your shopping start early.
You must leave a comment for each entry, and use the Rafflecopter widget to register. You have 6 chances by visiting them all. The best of luck!
See you folks back here tomorrow.
Come on, Doxie girls.
Let's go sew.

It's really interesting to see this block in so many different fabrics. Is it a traditional block? If so what is it called.
I don't think I've seen that block before. It would be a great scrapbuster.
Thank you Julie for your linking and inspiration you give us today at Show and Tell Monday !! Bambi Hug
going to have to make that block, thanks
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one to shop at Joanns. I was just there Saturday to use a 50% off coupon and I just got a text today for 60% off so I'll have to go there again. Karen
A great versatile block. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Beautiful blocks for sure.
Beautiful blocks for sure.
The brown spotted fabric does set off the Paganelli print. And that last block is definitely my favorite. Sounds like you are busy busy busy.
