Pet Project Show #36 and Highlights

Nero's Post and Patch

The Doxie girls and I had a terribly hard time this month picking our favorite link ups. We never cease to be amazed at the talent pool out there in QBL. ('Quilting Blogland'. An acronym coined by Sandra at Musings of a Menopausal Melon and Helen of Midget Gem Quilts.)

Why this beauty above from Nero's Post? Detail and precision abound, and don't you love her fabric mixes? Teje's been posting updates on this quilt, and it's fascinating.

Bambi showed us this Jen Kingwell Gardenvale quilt right at the time I was washing and ironing out my fat quarter bundle of the same. I was so excited to see the possibilities!

Tish's Wonderland

Tish keeps working through the 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month Challenges, and has made some beautiful pieces. This is one of my favorites so far. Could it be the pink or the quilting?

Touch of Grey

This is Amish with a Twist II, and is proudly finished. Reading deeper into the story of her WIP, Touch of Grey also made some of her own stencils, and used a huge variety of ruler work for the quilting making the post worthy of a second look. Beautiful job!

Heather's Sewing Room

Okay. Heather got me at the words, "Kaffe Fassett Workshop." She has pictures of him standing with her quilt, and I had to give a huge sigh. Lucky you, Heather! Your quilt turned out just gorgeous!

Musings of a Menopausal Melon

Everything about this beauty is perfect, I think. Yes, Sandra made me understand it was from a kit, but Minkee backing and to-die-for quilting made it hers. That scrappy border speaks to me, too.

Craftsy is running a sweet sale on classes and necessities until next week. The link here and buttons in the sidebar will take you to the sewing and quilting areas, but those are just the tip of the iceberg. Do you knit? Have an interest in photography? Paint? They also have classes and materials for all that and more. I've never been able to beat the sale prices there for my Aurifil thread even through a wholesale merchant so you can be sure you're getting a great deal. It's where I buy mine, too!

When you buy a class or anything through Craftsy and use the link here, I receive a small compensation. It offsets my costs, and helps the Doxies and I to bring you fun things here. We thank you!

Now it's your turn to show off your own Pet Project. What's your current obsession, love, or new toy? Link it up with The Pet Project Show and strut your stuff!

Pet Project Show

Add your links here every Saturday-Monday.

Rules

No worries! It's EASIER than EVER. You may link up any or all posts you've created in the past week.

1. Use the blue 'Add Your Link' button (below left) to upload something you've created in the past week. Any kind of handiwork--share it now! It can be a work in progress, finally finished, or even your fab new fabric. Whatever it is that inspired you to create this week, we'd like to see it here.

2. Link to a specific post, and not just your blog address. It makes it easy for anyone following your link to find the project.

3. Provide a backlink to Pink Doxies with a link in your post, and pick up our Pet Project Show button in the sidebar, if you'd like. Copy the code, then create a Pet Show widget with 'Add by HTML' on your Layout page.

-OR-

1. You can link up to your Instagram. Click on the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link up screen. The URL of your Instagram feed will be your link. Please hashtag  #pinkdoxiespetproject

Either way you link up, remember it's a party here, so schmooze with the crowd! Visit others who've linked up, and leave a comment so they know what you like about their work.

The Linky Party starts now, and runs until Monday, September 7th at midnight. Spread the word, and tell all your stitchy friends.
*The first Saturday party of each month will feature several of the Doxie's and my favorite link ups. By linking up, you are giving permission for me to post your picture with a backlink to your blog or Instagram account.
