E's Hexie Finish, CST, and Pet Project Show #37

If I said I was writing this quickly so I could go to bed, would you understand? It was a hard day in the studio, and I have so much to share over the next few days with you. But this is the big one. E's Hexie is completely finished. The binding is a Timeless Treasures print in a peachy-orange, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's girly yet modern, and sets off the quilt with a soft framing.

Even from the back it makes it feminine.

I got an extra point for putting my label on right away, and it's ready for pick up.

I thought it would be fun to show the little orchard below my studio. The apple trees are heavy with fruit, but a couple of clothespins held this in nicely for some quick shots. I've checked it off my list. I wasn't idle for long as there's already another quilt in the frame, and I'm eager to start it in the morning.

This month of Country Living has a good article on quilts, and some smaller features, too. There are some cute ideas here. You can find it locally where you live.

Creative Space Tag

Erica from Dresses and Spurs is hosting Creative Space Tag this time. Check out her post to see where she creates. Other CST posts can be found in the header. This is a good place to look for ideas other quilters have shared about making the most of the space they have.

No worries! It's EASIER than EVER. You may link up any or all posts you've created in the past week.

1. Use the blue 'Add Your Link' button (below left) to upload something you've created in the past week. Any kind of handiwork--share it now! It can be a work in progress, finally finished, or even your fab new fabric. Whatever it is that inspired you to create this week, we'd like to see it here.

2. Link to a specific post, and not just your blog address. It makes it easy for anyone following your link to find the project.

3. Provide a backlink to Pink Doxies with a link in your post, and pick up our Pet Project Show button in the sidebar, if you'd like. Copy the code, then create a Pet Show widget with 'Add by HTML' on your Layout page.

-OR-

1. You can link up to your Instagram. Click on the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link up screen. The URL of your Instagram feed will be your link. Please hashtag  #pinkdoxiespetproject

Either way you link up, remember it's a party here, so schmooze with the crowd! Visit others who've linked up, and leave a comment so they know what you like about their work.

The Linky Party starts now, and runs until Monday, September 14th at midnight. Spread the word, and tell all your stitchy friends.
*The first Saturday party of each month will feature several of the Doxie's and my favorite link ups. By linking up, you are giving permission for me to post your picture with a backlink to your blog or Instagram account.

A darling baby quilt. I admire your using minkee - I haven't had much luck with it. I guess I have to pin it to death to get it to lay right. I know it's hexies, but the first thing that jumped out at me were the blue triangles. Made me think of a mountain range - don't ask me why! Congrats on your finish. Looks like your mojo is back. Thanks for linking to WIPs Be Gone.
