Pet Project #32 & Close, But No Cigar On Moda Building Blocks

I sincerely believed I would have a whole flimsy to show off today, but if you follow Pink Doxies on Facebook, you'll know I played hooky with my girls yesterday. It was worth it. Family first, right? We had a ball at IKEA, one of our favorite spots.

I did get right back to sewing last night and this morning, and there is signifigantly progress despite my waywardness. The whole left half is together, and the upper right quadrant. I have 7 more 6" blocks to go, and the last quadrant will be finished.

My panic over not trimming down all the block immediately to check sizes was soon put to rest. Most came out needing only a bit of trimming and squaring, and a few were made to fit.

Fickle Me is already planning the next project, but it's going to be a WIP finish. I swear.

Now it's your turn to show off your own Pet Project. What's your current obsession, love, or happenin' project? Link it up with The Pet Project Show, and strut your stuff!

Pet Project Show

Rules

No worries! It's EASIER than EVER. You may link up any or all posts you've created in the past week.

1. Use the blue 'Add Your Link' button (below left) to upload something you've created in the past week. Any kind of handiwork--share it now! It can be a work in progress, finally finished, or even your fab new fabric. Whatever it is that inspired you to create this week, we'd like to see it here.

2. Link to a specific post, and not just your blog address. It makes it easy for anyone following your link to find the project.

3. Provide a backlink to Pink Doxies with a link in your post, and pick up our Pet Project Show button in the sidebar, if you'd like. Copy the code, then create a Pet Show widget with 'Add by HTML' on your Layout page.

-OR-

1. You can link up to your Instagram. Click on the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link up screen. The URL of your Instagram feed will be your link. Please hashtag  #pinkdoxiespetproject

Either way you link up, remember it's a party here, so schmooze with the crowd! Visit others who've linked up, and leave a comment so they know what you like about their work.

The Linky Party starts now, and runs until Monday, August 10th at midnight. Spread the word, and tell all your stitchy friends.
*The first Saturday party of each month will feature several of the Doxie's and my favorite link ups. By linking up, you are giving permission for me to post your picture with a backlink to your blog or Instagram account.

I love my boys but Ikea is just more fun when you have girls along. There's no looking around allowed when they are along, just get and go.

Uh, yeah, a trip to Ikea with the girls is a no brainer deal! Quilting sometimes even has to be placed second to such a trip!

Just love the look of this, truly admire the skill of melding fabrics and blocks, truly will be a gorgeous addition when its finished. Tad envious about Ikea ;)

Beautiful job. And don't worry, the quilt police are not timing you. Lol Every quilt in it's own time.
